I’m Mike — a Bay Area portrait and event photographer who believes every family, every face, and every moment carries a story worth honoring.

Before I ever picked up a camera, I was (and still am) a middle school teacher. For more than a decade I’ve taught English, history, and newcomer students, helping young people find their voice and see their own worth in a world that often overlooks them.

That same mission shows up in my photography.

I shoot to celebrate culture, color, and connection.

I shoot to capture people the way they want to be seen.

And I shoot to make my clients feel comfortable, confident, and valued — whether it’s a quinceañera, a wedding, a lifestyle session, or a creative portrait that means something deeper.

As a teacher, I learned how to read people fast, how to make anyone feel at ease, and how to guide with patience and humor. As a photographer, those skills became my superpower. I’m the guy who hypes you up, fixes your posture, finds the good light, makes you laugh when you’re nervous, and captures the real you when you finally relax into the moment.

I wasn’t born into this business — I built it from passion, from community, and from the love of seeing people shine. Every shoot is personal to me. Every face matters. Every culture deserves to be photographed with dignity and beauty.
